Teachers and Teaching Styles in Saudi Arabia and Chile

Although Saudi Arabia and Chile are similar in regard to their teachers and teaching styles, there are also a few differences. First, one similarity is that both countries have comparable educators. For example, both countries have men and women teachers with bachelors’ degrees. However, a difference is that in Saudi Arabia women teachers only teach girls and men teachers only teach boys. On the other hand, in Chile the teachers that are men or woman teach to girls and boys. Secondly, the classroom atmospheres in Chile and Saudi Arabia are rather different. For instance, the classroom atmosphere is mostly informal in Chile. Sometimes it takes teachers five to ten minutes to make the students quiet. In contrast, in Saudi Arabia classes are always quiet. An additional example is that in both countries the students stand up when the teachers enter the classroom on the first three years in elementary school. Furthermore, in both countries the students sit in pairs, and the organization of the desks form two or more lines. Third, the teachers use the same way to grade students, such as do many tests during the semester and one at the end. Finally, Chilean and Saudi students have the same levels of participation in the classroom. For instance, in elementary school the students just listen and answer questions asked by the teacher, while in the high school the students discuss and ask questions. In summary, even though there are some differences between Chilean and Saudi teachers and their teaching styles, they are fairly similar.

A Place from My Chilhood

Rapel Lake was the most fun place that I stayed when I was a child. I went with my family and friends when I was ten years old. The place for camping was in the middle of a forest, in front of the crystalline lake, and next to a white beach. On the beach, we made a bonfire, cooked marshmallows, and retell funny stories about our past time togheter. Also we went into the lake in my father's red boat. Inside the boat, my father drove into the middle of the lake, and we jump off the boat, and swim inside the light blue water. Then we fished with rod outside the water and close to the camping. No one of my friends and neither do I knew fish, so it was very fun to learn together. In conclusion, Rapel Lake was the place where I had most fun in my childhood.

Be Good Students in IECP

There are several steps to being a successful IECP student. One step is to attend most of the classes. It is understandable that students can not go to every class because they may have a problem such as sickness and, therefore, can not go out of their houses. Still, it is necessary to send an e-mail to the teacher to know what the lesson was about. However, if the students do not go to the class, they are going to lose the explanation of the subjects, and maybe when they study in their houses, they are not going to understand all the activities or words. Another step to being successful students is to take notes in all the classes. For example, if the students takes notes in all the classes, they are going to have all the knowledge in their writing and it will be available for reading at any moment. So it is possible review it several times. Also, if the students take notes, it is going to be possible to review the words that they do not know learning from their own mistakes. Finally, another step is to do all the homework and do it on time. For instance, students’ grades are going to be better if they do all the homework. In addition, the students are going to be in the same level as the rest of the class, so they are not going to get behind. In conclusion, there are several steps that IECP students can do to attain a successful result in their courses.
